Fuzzy words and actions

Your mission is only as good as your focus

Fuzzy is how I describe things that are unclear.

It’s like squinting, or if you wear glasses taking them off. Everything you’re looking at is out of focus.

Words

Fuzzy is explaining something and using too many words.

It lacks conviction or confidence in what you’re saying.

It’s the opposite of immediate, and the next door neighbour of over-explained.

When the message is the target it’s harder to hit under the weight of sentences, paragraphs and good intentions.

Actions

Fuzzy is a lack of visible progress.

It lacks conviction or confidence in what you’re doing.

It’s the emphasis on words over action. Talking over delivery. Rhetoric over progress. An unwillingness to decide when there’s too much emphasise on compromise.

The elements of disguise

Fuzzy is a disguise.

Your mission is only as good as your focus. Your words and your actions.

Some people put a line in the sand. Others spend more time talking about how to make their mark.
