Art is emotive
“Art is everything that you don’t have to do” – Brian Eno
We all find meaning in life through art and how things make us feel.
I can’t always articulate why art makes sense of some of the things in my life, but it does. It’s why I hang pictures on the wall of my house. It’s why I go to galleries. It’s why I play music and spend time with family and friends. It’s why I stare out of the train window at the shapes of the clouds against the blue sky in the summer.
Sometimes I can hear a song lyric or read something poetic and can connect with human experiences and ideas more clearly and articulately because I’ve felt something.
Emotions are what makes us human. They help us navigate our way through life, thinking and feeling our way through each situation that we face.
Art is emotive.
