2025 wrapped
Happy New Year!
I’m halfway through a much needed Christmas break at the moment – it’s been a busy year, and I ran out of time and energy for any longer posts and reflections on 2025…
In brief – this year I probably worked harder than ever before in my current role, which, in itself, followed a big effort in 2024.
2025 included a lot of work in the background, effort and time spent on things that often go unseen. A theme this year was also my ability to be decisive and to switch focus at some key moments. There were some setbacks, but also some things I’m proud of. Mostly, the best moments I’ll remember all lead back to the impact the work of our teams had.
Some personal highlights included returning to speak at UX Scotland in June and developing a new talk. This was supported by reading and writing throughout the year, which saw me continuing to explore themes of AI, Digital Transformation, and Service Design. I was also proud of the progress our teams made, sharing more regular posts on the TPXimpact Design blog.
I ended the year working more closely with one of our client teams in a major government department – this is a programme of work I’m really excited to get more involved with once I’m back at work in January.
In the meantime, here’s to doing our best again and bringing our best selves to work in 2026.

I completed 31 new Wainwright summits in 2025 (135/214). This is the view looking towards Lake Windermere taken on a very cold walk on New Year’s Eve. Always look for where the light shines through.
